Guadalupe Zendejas has a passion for enlightening, assisting and make a difference in someone’s life with a SMILE, human kindness, love, affection, caring, knowledge, patience, and desire. Guadalupe wants to encourage other to live a quality and enriched lifestyle. She enjoys being around positive, inspiring, amazing people who advocate for the disability community. Guadalupe is a wife and a proud mother of three young adults, all in college/university. She loves to spend quality time with family and friends, likes to travel, movies, taking beach walks and smiling!
Guadalupe holds a BS in Child Development from the University of La Verne, in California and is perusing a credential in Early Childhood Special Education Specialist at California State University of Los Angeles (CSULA). She is bilingual English and Spanish speaking. Has volunteered at CSULA Learning Center and at Madison Ave. Elementary School (preschool grade-level) assisting and observing children with special needs. Enjoys participating and volunteering within the disability community events. Guadalupe worked at Tiny Dots (preschool- day care) with infants and toddlers (0 to 3 years – 3 to 4 years) and as a Home Visitor for Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) and Tri-Cities Head Start Programs. Conducted home visits, educational activities, socializations, parent meetings, parent conferences, observation, and assessments. Guadalupe enjoyed working with families, typical developing children and children with different disabilities. She also worked as a caregiver for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) assisting adults with disabilities and always willing to help others if needed. These previous jobs have given Guadalupe the opportunity to gain experience working with adults and children with different disabilities within a diverse community. In addition, Guadalupe has a passion for the disability community due to having family members with physical and invisible disabilities.
For Guadalupe there is nothing more rewarding that to see others from infants to adults including seniors with or without a disability SMILE and LIVE a quality lifestyle. Guadalupe wants to help others accomplish their dreams and goals in this precious life.
